Guidance on how to access FP10 prescription forms and dispensing data has been issued for commissioners.

NHS Business Services Authority has drawn up the guidance for clinical commissioning groups, commissioning support units and provider organisations.

It sets out the current position based on regulations which came into force under the Pharmaceutical and Local Pharmaceutical Services (Prescriptions, Payments and Listings) Directions 2013.

In particular, it explains the process for requesting dispensing data and access to NHS prescription forms that have been dispensed and submitted for payment to NHSBSA by Pharmacy Contractors, Appliance Contractors, Dispensing Doctors and those personally administered.

NHSBSA says: “CCGs and other provider organisations who wish to request prescriptions should contact their Area Team. However if a CCG or provider organisation believe any prescribing has been incorrectly processed or attributed to their organisation, they can initiate a prescriber query.

“To initiate a prescriber query, email details of the anomalous prescribing (in the form of a Prescriber Dispenser Report from ePACT.net) along with any background information to support the belief that the prescribing has been incorrectly attributed to: This email address is being protected from spambots.
