Amendments to the General Medical Services Statement of Financial Entitlements Directions have updated a number of fees payable to doctors.

This third amendment to the Directions includes the annual rate of seniority payments for practitioners according to years of reckonable service, as well as dispensing fee scales.

Seniority payments are presented as the full annual rate of payments per practitioner before October 1 2015 and the adjusted rate of full annual payments from October 1.

Dispensing fees are given for:

  • contractors that are authorised or required to provide dispensing services
  • contractors that are not authorised or required to provide dispensing services

for the period from October 1 and then from April 1 2016.

In addition, the Direction amendment also corrects the amount payable for maternity, paternity and adoptive leave from £1113.74 to £1131.74, with effect from April 1 2015.
