The go ahead has been given to integrate Total Solutions’ MediBooks medical billing software with SystmOne general practice software through the new GPSoC framework.

Health and Social Care Information Centre approval for the integration means patient details can be pulled through seamlessly to MediBooks, allowing bills to be created within just three clicks of the mouse, said SystmOne supplier TPP.

“MediBooks allows GP practices and federations to calculate, manage and control non-NHS and private income. Interactive reporting in MediBooks also ensures accurate VAT submissions, on-demand accounting information and statistical analysis,” said TPP.

TPP Director Ashley Brook said the new GP Systems of Choice integration process had taken longer than anticipated, but added: “It’s fantastic news that MediBooks have become our first partner on the new framework. We have ten more integrations under GPSoC to go through the process and we hope we can now move quickly to get these approved.”

MediBooks CEO Danny Bannister added: “We found HSCIC extremely engaging and helpful through the process and, whilst it did take a while, we always felt supported and informed at every step. Now we are all set to deploy MediBooks and our team is really excited about the possibility of forming new relationships both with TPP and their clients.”

MediBooks is offering 50% off the usual licence fee in year one for all SystmOne practices signing up for MediBooks before the end of May 2016.
