A Resized Recall Image cb1January 4 2018

A class 2 drug recall has been issued for one batch of Molipaxin (trazodone hydrochloride) 100mg capsules.

The recall is precautionary as it is thought that a metal detector may not have been working properly during the batch’s manufacture, so the presence of any stray metal particles would not have been detected. The MHRA’s recall notice says that “there is no evidence of metal particles within units from the batch.”

The affected item has a pack size of 56 capsules and has batch number 3650817, an expiry date of 07/2020, and was first distributed from October 16 2017.

The product is from Sanofi’s Winthrop Pharmaceuticals UK Limited business trading as Zentiva. For medical information enquiries, contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Note that the MHRA recall issued on January 3 spells the product name as Mollipaxin.
