Vapestick, an e-cigarette brand, has started to roll out its new ‘AVS’ (advanced vaping system) e-cigarettes via Tesco including through 375 Tesco pharmacies.

Described as a new kind of vaping system, theAVS product “meets an identified gap in the marketplace, sitting between rechargeable cig-a-likes and refillable tank-based vaporiser systems,” says the company.

The AVS has a large battery that provides “powerful vapour production and an ‘all-day vape’.” AVS refills come as pre-filled ‘tanks’ with 2.4ml of Vapestick’s v-liquid, sufficient for around 600 puffs, in a choice of flavours and strengths.

“This new product ... allows for the performance of tank-based vaporiser devices, and the convenience of cartomiser systems, whilst also eliminating any perceived concerns by retailers and consumers, about the sale and handling of ‘open’ e-liquids,” says Vapestick.

The company has also been promoting its products with a “multi-million pounds” UK marketing campaign which includes radio, billboards, bus-sides, experiential, music and fashion tie-ups. It has also appointed the actress and model Mischa Barton as the brand’s style ambassador.
