Numark has announced it is partnering with PG Mutual to offer income protection cover.

The package, Numark Income Protection Plus, is intended to provide comprehensive cover for occasions when income may be restricted due to incapacitation due to sickness or injury. Cover kicks in from the first lost working day and can last until recovery or policy retirement age.

Users will not be penalised for making claims, and there is no limit to claims. Policy holders can also access a member benefits scheme offering discounts.

Numark says its members can offer the scheme as a benefit to employees. It points out that employers are obliged to pay statutory sick pay of £89.35 a week for only 28 weeks.
