The organisers of Small Business Saturday taking place on December 2 are promoting the day with a bus tour around Britain.

The tour kicked off on Monday and will continue until November 24 with 27 stops across the country over the five weeks. The bus is used to host to numerous activities, workshops and provide a space for small businesses to display promotional material. A map showing the SBS bus tour itinerary is on the website’s home page.

This is the fifth year of Small Business Saturday, “a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.”

The organisation wants all kinds of small businesses to get involved, and businesses can register and advertise free on the Small Business Finder. The website also has logos to use on websites and promotional material, as well as a marketing pack to download.

Businesses wanting to participate in Small Business Saturday are encouraged to contact the organisation, which can give a shout out about any activities being organised on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
