Pharmacists, technicians and other pharmacy staff are being invited to appear in NHS England’s new ‘Stay Well This Winter’ campaign.

 It is looking for people who will be the face of pharmacy on campaign materials this winter encouraging the public to use pharmacy services rather than make unnecessary appointments for the GP. Pharmacists and pharmacy staff who are selected to appear in the campaign may also be involved in media interviews.

Pharmacy organisations – PSNC, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, National Pharmacy Association and Association of Pharmacy Technicians (APTUK) – are involved in helping find the pharmacy faces at this weekend’s Pharmacy Show at the Birmingham NEC (October 8-9).

If you are interested in being considered, go along to the following stands at the Pharmacy Show to have your photo taken:

  • Royal Pharmaceutical Society – for the duration of the Pharmacy Show
  • National Pharmacy Association – 2pm on Sunday 8 October, and Monday 9 October
  • Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK – for the duration of the Pharmacy Show

Following this initial ‘scouting phase’, NHS England will narrow down the list and contact successful candidates to take part in a professional photoshoot.
