The ‘virtual head office’ chain for independent pharmacy contractors says that its 3,000 members will be able to benefit from Quantum’s late opening and ordering cut-off times as well as a being to order from a list of over 22,000 specials medicines and other hard-to-source products.

Sundeep Nagra, commercial manager at Numark, says: “We chose Quantum as our preferred supplier because they provide good quality and a comprehensive product range delivered within the timescales our members require. Some of our pharmacists operate 100 hour pharmacies, so a 9pm cut off for delivery next morning is extremely useful and enables them to respond to their patients’ needs faster.”

Numark also points out that Quantum can provide training for Numark members on the specials drug tariff and guidance on endorsing specials prescriptions to ensure correct reimbursement from the NHS.
